In response to the campaign "Clean up the world", the Vietnam Women's Union and the Women's Union of Ninh Binh province on September 26 held a "Green market - protecting the rural environment".

Attending the event were Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Minh Huong, and Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Tran Song Tung, among others.
Speaking at the event, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Minh Huong, said the programme with the theme "Joining hands to clean up the world" aims to raise the community's awareness of environmental protection.
She also called on people to act and build a sustainable, nature-friendly lifestyle. Local people need to classify waste at source andminimise the use of plastic bags and single-use plastic products, while planting more trees and protect forests, Huong said.
At the programme, delegatesvisited booths that showcase recycled products, sell organic and safe agricultural products andlocal OCOP products.
They also visited a photo exhibition with the theme "Women join hands to protect the environment".
The organisers also arranged places to collect waste for recycling and re-use, and exchange waste for trees and clothe bags.
