Ninh Binh students win prize at National Science and Technology Contest 2019 for the North

Students from the northern province of Ninh Binh won the second prize and two fourth prizes at the National Science and Technology Contest for the North held in Hanoi from March 9 to 12.

Cao Nguyen Hung and Nguyen Dinh Nhat Tan from Hoa Lu A High School claimed the second prize for their I.O.T bed machine to support people with mobility difficulties.

The project came as Hung wanted to create a machine to support the mobility of his mother who had one leg broken in a traffic accident.

With the support from their teacher, Cao Nguyen Hung and Nguyen Dinh Nhat Tan, have completed their machine in two months.

I.o.T bed machine has two basic systems. The first is the mechanic system with a bed frame, a lifting motor, a moving motor, a sanitation system, a dining table, a lift and moveable table, and a robot arm.

The second system is the control circuit which includes a computerized network control, manual control, a dining table system, a heart rate sensor button and camera.

This smart machine is highly practical in supporting people struggling against mobility difficulties and the elderly.

In additon to this prize, Ninh Binh students won two other 4th prizes at this contest.

The National Science and Technology Contest for school year 2018-2019 in the North was held for the 7thconsecutive year by the Ministry of Education and Training. The organizer received 252 entries from 487 students of 34 schools.
