Ninh Binh athletes win medals from Southeast Asian wresting festival 2019

Ninh Binh wrestlers walked away with two golds, two silvers, and two bronzes at a wrestling festival in Thailand.

The Southeast Asian Senior, Junior and Cadet Wrestling Festival 2019 took place from September 26 to October 4 in Sisaket, Thailand with the participation of Southeast asian countries.

The festival is considered an important training pool for the participating countries in the SEA games 30 and regional sport events.

Athletes competed at three categories: classic, freestyle and beach wrestling.

Ninh Binh athletes Ta Quang Thang and Ngo Huu Hoa pocketed six medals including two golds, two silvers, and two bronzes in the male classic, freestyle and beach wrestling competitions.

Ta Quang Thang grabbed two golds in the male classic cadets -50 kg, and male freestyle cadets– 50kg; while Ngo Huu Hoa claimed a silver and two bronze medals in the make cadets 48 kg division.

With outstanding results, Quang Thang and Huu Hoa are believed to bag more medals for Ninh Binh province in the next Vietnam national Games.
