Children nationwide join various Mid-Autumn Festival activities

Various activities were held nationwide on September 10 for children to enjoy the atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

A Mid-Autumn Festival programme was held in Lang Son City, in the northern province of the same name, attracting numerous children from the communes and wards across the city.

Children joined various exciting activities such as dealing out the Mid-Autumn Festival feast, making lanterns, watching liondances and beating drums.

* Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union and Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, held an event celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival in Nhi Son Commune, Muong Lat District, bringing joy to students and children in the remote commune.

On the occasion, the organising board presented 20 gifts to outstanding students who are living in difficult circumstances.

* On the same day, the Labour Federation of Hue City, in the central province of Thua Thien - Hue, held a meeting for children of civil servants and workers in the locality on the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival.

As many as 67 children who overcame difficulties to gain outstanding achievements in their studies in the past year received scholarships.

* Over 300 needy people in the mountainous commune of Phu Son, Huong Thuy Town, Thua Thien - Hue Province, had a chance to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival at a programme on September 10.

In addition to enjoying art performances and joining folk games, children received meaningful gifts.
